The BAPE x Superstar 80s “Multi Camo” is one of two colorways of the retro sneaker designed by the streetwear brand in February 2021. The partnership between two of streetwear’s most revered brands, BAPE and , began in 2003 on the Super Ape Star, a then-new skate-inspired silhouette. In the succeeding years, models like the Superstar 80s, NMD R1, and ZX 5000 have come to feature BAPE’s hard-to-miss camouflage print. But there’s no denying this “Multi Camo” colorway is among the most bold. The uppers of the left and right shoe feature a mismatching design that finds BAPE’s red, blue, and purple 1st Camo print as the base on different sides. White Three Stripes detailing appears on the lateral side of the right shoe and BAPE”s “Sta” logo can be found on the medial side. Gold foil and A Bathing Ape branding are printed on the left shoe and right shoe, respectively. Embroidered detailing appears on the back of the left shoe and “Bape Sta” on the right shoe.
